# v.3 of my personal website

- How to create websites that are faster, more secure, and easier to maintain

- How to use templates to generate static websites

|
- How to use DNS pointers (A- & CNAME records)
|
|
|
|
### Updates

- v.1 - basic html/css
|
|
- v.2 - same site as this repo, just bad github repo
|
|
- v.3 - couldn't fix repo, still learning Git, site works - I'm happy lol
|
|
|

### Future plans:

- [ ] Might convert website over to the [cocoa](https://github.com/mtn/cocoa-eh-hugo-theme) theme

## How do I run it locally?
|
|
|
|
1. Download and install Hugo
|
|
2. git clone https://github.com/SindreKjelsrud/sindrekjelsrud.github.io.git
|
|
3. cd sindrekjelsrud.github.io
|
|
4. hugo server
|
|
5. Feel free to create issues if you see room for improvement!
|
|
|
|
### Update website
|
|
|
|
- Clone project
|
|
- Add submodules again
|
|
- git submodule init
|
|
- git submodule update
|
|
|
|
